Description Stuart Dickson 2014-04-22 08:36:47 UTC
As reported by a user "trow128":
"The drawing assistant rulers and perspective grid cause severe lag for me."
(compared to Krita Desktop from krita.org)

Assistants are disabled when switching to Sketch mode, so those are not really relevant - though the assistant disabling can be a bug of itself. With perspective grid I notice no performance degradation with a simple brush. So I would like some more information about this.

Actually I find perspective assistant to be slow on my desktop PC (win7) too. Try adding few perspective rulers, and then rotating canvas, even with OpenGL enabled it, is becoming really slow.

Seems to be not fixed
Comment 4 Ilya V. Portnov 2015-06-21 07:38:50 UTC
Reproduces at my system. The key point seems to have any rotation of canvas. With not rotated canvas, it goes smooth; if I rotate canvas a bit, it becomes very slow.

I'm sorry, we had to drop support for the sketch and gemini variants of Krita because with the existing code, we couldn't make it work with Qt 5.
