Description Sam Stoelinga 2014-04-21 02:50:35 UTC
Current result: When dragging a specific file from an archive with Ark to a specific folder in
dolphin, the whole directory structure gets extracted.

Expected result: It should extract the dragged folder/file to the destination folder in dolphin. This is what some Archivers do for example in Windows or 7zip.

The same behaviour is seen when using the extract dialog when selecting specific files / folders. Using the don't preserve directory structure option also is useless because that wont keep the directory structure of the lowerlevel folders that I selected.

I'm planning to make a small video showing the behaviour with notes if it's not clear what I mean.

Please note I'm not saying this because other archivers do this, but because this behaviour is more convenient and user friendly imo. Feels more intuitive.
I'm planning to work on this myself as soon as I have some free time.

Reproducible: Always
