Waste come from KDE desktop. Just control Waste content through KDE icon, as with all computer desktop...

Hi Gilles
thanks for the responding.
but:
I can see only one waste bucket. Aand that one is empty.
Question: where is this KDE icon?
My operating system is ubuntu based on gnome, probably.

Well, as i never used Gnome with KDE application, i'm not sure if KDE and Gnome share the same place for trash storage.

Definitively, it's not a digiKam problem, but more Desktops interoperability problem.

A possible workaround, is to run dolphin KDE file manager and to go on Trash link from Places section from left sidebar. Pop-up context menu and run Empty Trash option...

Could it be that the problem is because digicam runs on gnome?
I'll try the dolphin trash.

Now I tried. Dolphin shows trash is empty. Menu option "empty trash" is
inaktiv.
