Description Toralf Förster 2014-04-15 21:13:33 UTC
When I unselect that feature I'd expect that the blue circle with the "i" would be removed from the tab - but it won't be removed.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Andrew Crouthamel 2018-10-21 02:29:10 UTC
Confirmed on 18.08.1

KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.0
Qt Version: 5.11.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50.0
Comment 2 Aaron Williams 2019-01-15 00:16:32 UTC
In my case, the "i" isn't shown. The icons change to a red alarm bell. Neither monitor for activity or monitor for silence are shown. No matter what I do nothing seems to turn this off. This reminds me of the old behavior from earlier versions of Konsole.

You are obviously experiencing bug#402541, which is fixed in the latest 18.12.1.
Comment 4 Wolfgang Bauer 2019-01-15 16:24:46 UTC
PS: I can't seem to reproduce the original problem with 18.12.1 anymore either.
Maybe it got fixed meanwhile?

Can somebody who was able to reproduce re-check please?
Comment 5 Christoph Feck 2019-02-08 15:50:30 UTC
If the (i) icon appears, and I am in a different tab, it automatically vanishes when switching to the notified tab. If I was already in the notified tab, the icon vanishes after a short delay.

I suggest to close this.
Comment 6 Aaron Williams 2019-02-08 21:05:21 UTC
I am still seeing this problem, however, in my case, it shows a red icon with an alarm bell. I find it extremely annoying and I can't turn this off.
Comment 7 Christoph Feck 2019-02-22 16:13:54 UTC
The alarm bell icon is caused by a 'BELL' code sent to the terminal, e.g. by the shell when you hit Backspace without typing anything before. The alarm bell icon should vanish on the next keystroke. If not, please report it as a separate issue, because it is unrelated to the (i) icon used for monitoring.
Comment 8 Justin Zobel 2020-11-03 06:40:00 UTC
I've just tested monitor for silence on konsole from git master and I cannot replicate this issue.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue can be resolved, thanks.
