Description kjburns 2014-04-13 03:43:24 UTC
In "About Gwenview" screen: Version 2.8.5

Just upgraded from a Canon Rebel to Nikon 3200 camera. This problem does not occur with the Canon but occurs with the Nikon. It appears that Wix.com's photo editor is corrupting the metadata from the Nikon, not the metadata from the Canon, but Gwenview still does something it shouldn't: it should display the photo despite the absence or corruption of exif data. Photos downloaded directly from either camera open with no problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Take a photograph with a Nikon 3200 camera.
2. Upload to wix.com and do some modifications.
3. Download back to your computer.
4. Attempt to open with Gwenview.
Actual Results:
Gives error message about metadata, but will not show the image.

Expected Results:
Show the image, and possibly give an error in the status bar concerning the metadata problem.
