Description Alessandro Accardo 2014-04-10 13:17:26 UTC
THIS IS NOT A KHTML bug, but I don't see "kwebkitpart adblock" in the component list, nor I see kwebkitpart in the software list in initial file-a-bug page.

I seen that AdBlock component in kwebkitpart blocks all the page if the rules are too restrictive, without showing anything that alerts the user of the content blocked.
It is needed to have a notification system that shows up the blocked content with a placeholder or with an alert or something.
I seen also that the single filters do not create any problem, all the pages are showed as expected but, if combined, they can block the entire page.
It can be useful to have a verification process that shows up "incompatible" filtersets because there are actually some of them incompatible with the others.
I filed this as a Minor bug because there is an easy workaround (choose filtersets wisely after some tries) but at the state of the art, if there are conflicting elements in the filterset list, the software becomes unusable, so in same conditions it can be even "Grave" severity level.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open AdBlock settings in konqueror while using KWebKit engine
2. Select a bunch of automatic filters, my "working" configuration is:
        * Corset
        * AdblockList.org
        * EasyPrivacy
        * Fanboy's list
        * Malware Domains
        * Rickroll Blacklist
        * EasyList
3. Try to load page "http://google.com"
Actual Results:
A blank page without any suggestion that the whole page has been blocked.

Expected Results:
Show the google.com page.
