The Apply and Cancel buttons should not be disabled after canceling authentication because the options have not been applied. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run "kcmshell4 lightdm" 2. Make some change in the options. 3. Click Apply. 4. On the authentication window, click Cancel. Actual Results: The Reset and Apply buttons become disabled. Expected Results: The Reset and Apply buttons should only be disabled when either there have been no changes made, or all changes have been applied. If the changes were canceled in the authentication step, the changes aren't applied, so the interface should reflect that. Observed on Kubuntu 13.10. I reported basically the same issue for the kcm_grub2 component (bug 333221). If these are both related to some upstream bug, then sorry for the duplicate.

We no longer use lightDM, having moved to SDDM several years ago. As such, this bug report is no longer applicable. Bugs reports for the new SDDM-based login screen should be filed to one of two places: 1. Visual/UI bugs with the login screen UI itself, or feature requests: plasmashell | Theme - Breeze 2. Bugs with the login/user switching process: https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues
