Description ray-ven 2014-04-01 11:36:13 UTC
if I pick a distribution list for sending, kmail replies "cannot send to "list"@"hostname"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. type in email adresses in kmail "to" field
2. click "save as list"
3. create new email and set "to" to "new distribution list"
Actual Results:
emails aren't being sent

Expected Results:
sending mail to all recipients of my distribution list

I will look at
Comment 2 Laurent Montel 2014-04-02 12:14:41 UTC
I added support in baloo.
I hope that it will fix it.
It needs some tests
Comment 3 ray-ven 2014-04-02 18:55:19 UTC
awesome - I'll keep you up to date when packages arrive in proposed
Comment 4 Laurent Montel 2014-04-20 15:41:31 UTC
is it ok ?
Comment 5 ray-ven 2014-04-21 21:26:47 UTC
nope... Not on 4.13. I can send to its members (select people in the list and send works), but not to the list itself but maybe it's supposed to work this way?
Comment 6 Laurent Montel 2014-04-22 12:23:16 UTC
Ah.
Ok I will investigate soon.
Comment 7 Laurent Montel 2014-06-09 07:25:14 UTC
I fixed baloo to support it in 4.13.2
I hope that it's ok now
Comment 8 Michael S. 2014-06-25 11:55:59 UTC
I'm on 4.13.2 and sending to a distribution list still doesn't work.
Comment 9 Michael S. 2014-06-25 12:04:00 UTC
Sorry, I just tried it again and it works fine.
Comment 10 Cyril Brosch 2015-12-17 19:41:22 UTC
In KMail 5.0.3, Frameworks 5.16.0, it does not work.
Comment 11 Briet 2016-02-22 15:38:28 UTC
KMail 5.0.3, Frameworks 5.15.0, Qt 5.4.2 (built against 5.4.2)

also still broken:

"The email address you entered is not valid because it does not contain a '.'. You will not create valid messages if you do not change your address."

Does not matter if the distribution list is saved locally or on any remote akonadi service.
Comment 12 Denis Kurz 2017-01-18 19:23:32 UTC
Reproducible in KMail 5.4.1.
