When I press the play button KsCD stops after the first track. If I get it to play the next track it stops after that one. And so on after every track, instead of playing the whole album. If I click on the Tracklist button it shows all the tracks, and I can double click a track to play it, but then it stops playing at the end of that track Reproducible: Always kscd-4.12.3-1.fc20.x86_64
When the current track stops playing the "next" button apparently does nothing. But pressing "stop" then "play" plays the next track, so the "next" button must have done _something_, even though the display isn't updated or anything. Pressing "Next" while a track is playing works as expected. Pressing "stop" while a track is playing then pressing "play" plays the first track ... but the display still shows whatever was playing when you pressed "stop". Pressing "next" then jumps to the track after the one that the display shows!
Could you please also tell us the version you are using, the KDE version and which Phonon backend you use?
The version is given above: kscd-4.12.3-1.fc20.x86_64 $ kscd --version Qt: 4.8.5 KDE Development Platform: 4.12.3 KsCD: 1.5 I'm using the Gstreamer backend.
marking confirmed (I think all requested information was provided)
It would be interesting to see if changing the phonon backend to the vlc one has the same issue.
I'll have to wait until I log out to find out if the vlc backend does the same.
I've just tried playing a CD with KsCD using the vlc backend, and it doesn't stop playing at the end of track one ... oh frabjous day! So this bug seems to be specific to the gstreamer backend. HOWEVER, the display never updates so it keeps telling me it's still on track 1 when playing later tracks. Also after the first track the slider that should show the track progress never moves, it's stuck at the far left (even though the track is clearly playing). It moves correctly to show the progress of the first track but not subsequent ones. This application is an embarrassment.
> This application is an embarrassment. We do not have a maintainer for kscd since several years. Feel free to adopt it.
kscd is no longer maintained, please switch to an alternative application.
