Description PG 2014-03-30 17:37:22 UTC
Hi,

Yesterday, I have installed PCLOS FM, with KDE 4.12.3, 64-bit. I am experiencing the following behavior:

Some keyboard shortcuts are working as expecting, for example in Chromium to open a new tab or to show Yakuake. But in other apps are not.

For example, in dolphin or Konqueror, I cannot use Ctrl+T or Ctr+N to open a new window. I have even tried to run the app from console, in order to see any weird output, with no luck. Other applications that I have seen this problem is SMPlayer and Konsole.

A new user I created for testing purposes doesnt have this problem, though I am not keen on the idea to move folder, because I dont want to miss my settings.

Can someone give me some guidance here?

Thanks,

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Dolphin
2. Hit the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+T
3. Observe new tab is not opened.
Actual Results:
New tab not opened

Expected Results:
Open a new tab, in the same directory as the one I was when hit the shortcut.

KDE 4.12.3
PCLOs Full Monty
Reproducible only in current user.

I have tried to rebuild my KDE config with

kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental

and I am getting messages like:

kbuildsycoca4(15433) KConfigGroup::readXdgListEntry: List entry Actions in "ServiceMenus/audioconvert4.desktop" is not compliant with XDG standard (missing trailing semicolon).

Any chance that it is related?

The message is not related. Is your issue visible with any keyboard layout? See also bug 332322.

Hi Christoph,

It is the same issue, and I it is now fixed after changing the ordering. For the record it is(was) happening with all layouts.

Cheers.
