From Windows OS's, I can print in color OK to my Phaser 6250DX printer. For Linux, I used the CUPS installer for a Xerox Phaser 6250DX color printer, but when printing a document, I only get greyscale printed when the source page on-screen has color. The configure screen only offers the Color Model choices: Greyscale & Inverted Grayscale (never Color). It doesn't matter which KDE app I am using, even if it offers me the option of color such as the app Konqueror & I select color, it still prints in Greyscale. Is this a CUPS driver problem? My OS is Fedora Linux (i686) release 3.13.5-103.fc19.i686.PAE

I performed the test as you requested and it comes up only in Greyscale. Please see the new screen-shot attached to this reply. So is the CUPS driver to blame?
Created attachment 85798 [details] forwarded message I just attached a screen-shot of the CUPS driver source/info that I'm using.

Thanks for the update. This is indeed a CUPS issue. The KDE print system uses the CUPS drivers and settings. If CUPS itself cannot print in color, you either use the wrong driver, the driver has a bug, or is not configured correctly. Please ask in a CUPS user support forum for help.
