Well I'm just test Krita in my Workflow at the studio and try to report some issues that I found. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: -When select the tool to draw "straight lines" it has the actual brush size of the "Paint with brushes" tool -The problem come wen I try to scale its brush size like when I do with the "Paint with brushes" tool (SHIFT and Left Click + Drag) Actual Results: *I doesn't scale its size Expected Results: Well I try this because consistency in the use of the tool's shortcuts. I work with Photoshop always in fullscreen without options panels or tools, just with shortcuts, like for 9 years now and that consistency in the use of the tools is important to have a fast and clean workflow.
I can confirm this bug as it is an expected user action. And probably it should work also for squares, circles and polylines. Not sure if the effect is intended
Well, yes -- I guess it's intended. The shift key is used to constrain the line to specific angles. Using another modifier for that will give problem with people who are expecting the shift key to do the constraining.

Okay, reopening. We _could_ do shift-click for resizing and click-shift for dragging. Maybe a better idea would be to go with the HUD idea for updating brush parameters, though:
I'm not familiar with HUD idea, if someone can point me? Is a regression? I'm new to Krita, 3 months... Whatever is chosen, maybe something must be done about shift-clicking doing nothing, It made me confused.
We used to have a little half-transparent thingy that showed up on canvas for rotating, zooming, panning. That needs to be restored, but we also want to have something similar for flow, opacity, brush size, lightness.
Confirmed by Sven Langkamp
Given the needs of the straight line tool, let's not change anything here.
