Thanks for the but report. The location bar is provided by the class KUrlNavigator from kdelibs -> I'll reassign this report.
Hi Frank, I just decided to install kdesdk4 where dolphin came with it. Installation worked like a charm w/o issues. My first tests regarding dolphin where just fine and the location bar was the only thing which sprang to my eyes. Looks good! :) Greets, Marko

I'm glad to hear that :-) Unfortunately, I cannot help much with the location bar issue. Help from someone who works on Mac and is willing to dig into the KUrlNavigator sources is required.
