Description kdebugs 2014-03-12 23:02:48 UTC
When navigating with the keyboard, the selection goes out the bottom of the screen instead of staying in view like normal programs (e.g. dolphin).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run "kcmshell4 filetypes"
2. Expand "application" and click an entry under it.
3. Repeatedly push the down arrow key.
Actual Results:
When the selection reaches the bottom of the frame, it keeps going past it instead of forcing the contents to scroll.

Expected Results:
The selected item should stay in full view unless you specifically scroll away from it.

Looks like a problem with Qt and/or the widget style. Using Plastique, it at least keeps a partial item visible.

Using Skulpture, which sets the "scroll per pixel" property, it does not happen at all.

I get the same bug with plastique. I think it's a QTreeView bug. It doesn't happen when setting an icon on all items (including groups).

It's not related to the delayed icon loading in the items - it happens also with a dummy icon on all items, set up front.

It still fails to keep current selection in view. It doesn't disappear entirely, but it is illegibly low. Observed on Kubuntu 22.10, kcmshell5, version 5.25.5.
