is this new with latest KDE or related to mesa-10.1.0 ?

after upgrade to 4.11.7+4.12.3 I did no checked that ... OTOH it looks like a minor thingy

This was actually caused by a change in kernel 3.12.

Support for newer kernels has finally been added now so this should work again in kinfocenter 5.13:
