When trying to create a (FTP, SFTP) Network Folder using the Network Folder Wizard the authentication box never shows up. When I run Dolphin as root I get the authentication box. The shortcut is created, root has access to the Network drive, but the normal user cannot access the Network drive. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open Dolphin. Choose the Network shortcut. Click on Add Network Folder. Choose FTP Press Next Fill in the information Press Save & Connect Receive an error: Unable to connect to server. Please check your settings and try again. Actual Results: Error as normal user, works as root. Expected Results: works for normal user. OS Kubuntu 13.10
Thanks for the bug report. AFAIK, this functionality is provded by the "remote" kioslave.
Works for me with KDE Frameworks 5.47 and Dolphin 18.04.2.
