When connecting any usb storage device system freezes on 14.04. Tried clean installs on different computers reproducible every time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.turn on computer 2.connect usb or usb-hdd 3.frozen! pull plug and/or battery. repeat. Actual Results: Well frozen so I looked into it and downloaded ntfs-config from my package manager of choice and disabled automatic mounting and viola problem solved! now I can connect my usb / usb hdd without freezing Expected Results: Automatic mounting of usb devices shared between windows and linux doesnt make for a happy computer! so Disabling automatic mounting with ntfs-config solves this issue.
FOR 14.04 Trusty Tahr (Development Branch) kernel 3.13.0-12 applies to amd and i368/i686
