Description prash 2014-02-25 03:27:35 UTC
For the reason mentioned in bug#316442, I use .tex as the file extension for ConTeXt files.

Whenever I save changes to an edited file, two undesirable things happen:
1. The highlighting changes from ConTeXt to LaTeX.
2. The log window throws the message "[Kile] Unknown tool LivePreview-ConTeXt."

I tried all kinds of things to try to work around the bugs, but I have been unsuccessful. These are the things I tried:
1. Under Settings->Configure Kile...->Open/Save->Modes & Filetypes->Filetype, I first lowered the priority of Markup/LaTeX, and raised the priority of Markup/ConTeXt
2. When that did not work, I removed *.tex from Markup/LaTeX, and added it to Markup/ConTeXt.
3. When that did not work, I removed "text/x-tex" from MIME types of Markup/LaTeX, and added it to Markup/ConTeXt.
4. When that did not work, I completely uninstalled LaTeX from my computer, and re-ran Settings->System Check... to ensure that it shows only the tools installed via ConTeXt.

At the moment, none of this works. I have to manually select ConTeXt highlighting every time I save a file, which makes Kile quite unusable.

Reproducible: Always

% kile --version
Qt: 4.8.5
KDE Development Platform: 4.12.2
Kile: 2.9.60

This is built fresh from Kile's git repository.
