Created attachment 87356 [details] New crash information added by DrKonqi akonadi_archivemail_agent (4.13) on KDE Platform 4.13.1 using Qt 4.8.6 - What I was doing when the application crashed: I configured archiving for my gmail folder, i.e. including all subfolders. I set it for daily archiving. It was correctly added to the archiving profiles list. Then, I right-clicked it and made it start archiving right at the moment. A panel tray notification appeared saying that the archiving was in process, but after about 20-30 seconds, it crashed. - Custom settings of the application: + Gmail IMAP. 27 custom folders, 1 of them with 5 sub-folders, 3.7 GB total. + Gmail Sent-mail folder mapped to my_account/[Gmail]/Sent Mail and Drafts to my_account/[Gmail]Drafts. + Archiving in a mounted separate partition of the same disk (/media/username/partitionname/mailfolder), owned by me. 40.0 GB free at the moment. + .tar.bz2 archives + Maximum number of archives: 4 + Great fraction of e-mails in Spanish (in case that parsing of certain characters is the issue). This bug was opened by someone who has his/her system in Spanish, seemingly. This is in Kubuntu 14.04, installed two days ago, no kubuntu backports ppa, kmail 4.13.1-0ubuntu0.1. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #7 QUrl::QUrl (this=0x7ffff65ca350, other=...) at io/qurl.cpp:4270 #8 0x00007ff9ce67fc79 in KUrl::KUrl (this=0x7ffff65ca350, _u=...) at ../../kdecore/io/kurl.cpp:490 #9 0x00000000004139ea in url (this=0x2551e00) at ../../../agents/archivemailagent/archivemailinfo.cpp:215 #10 ArchiveMailInfo::dirArchive (this=this@entry=0x2551e00) at ../../../agents/archivemailagent/archivemailinfo.cpp:88 #11 0x00000000004140e2 in ArchiveMailInfo::listOfArchive (this=0x2551e00, folderName=...) at ../../../agents/archivemailagent/archivemailinfo.cpp:116
Created attachment 87357 [details] New crash information added by DrKonqi akonadi_archivemail_agent (4.13) on KDE Platform 4.13.1 using Qt 4.8.6 - What I was doing when the application crashed: New crash, now having completed 2.6 GB of the 3.7 GB total, so several minutes after starting. This time I tried using .tar.gz archives. By the way, I have configured my account for retrieving of full body of messages for offline use. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #7 QUrl::QUrl (this=0x7ffffd591f30, other=...) at io/qurl.cpp:4270 #8 0x00007f79a69e6c79 in KUrl::KUrl (this=0x7ffffd591f30, _u=...) at ../../kdecore/io/kurl.cpp:490 #9 0x00000000004139ea in url (this=0xea2c80) at ../../../agents/archivemailagent/archivemailinfo.cpp:215 #10 ArchiveMailInfo::dirArchive (this=this@entry=0xea2c80) at ../../../agents/archivemailagent/archivemailinfo.cpp:88 #11 0x00000000004140e2 in ArchiveMailInfo::listOfArchive (this=0xea2c80, folderName=...) at ../../../agents/archivemailagent/archivemailinfo.cpp:116
And a last thing: interestingly, not all of my folders appear in the folder-selection dialog. Some of the missing ones are empty, others are not. I suppose this might be a matter for a separate bug report, but I prefer to add it here in case it reveals something more.
This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
