Description Anthony 2014-02-12 17:49:24 UTC
When trying to start the advanced slideshow plugin the settings window opens to full screen height however the unity top bar seems to prevent it from actually displaying at the top of the screen. Therefore the Help, Start and Close buttons at the bottom of the settings window are not accessible. It would be a small thing if the window could be resized but it will not allow this. Sometimes I can use the move window option from the title bar but that doesn't always work either. This problem happens on both my HTPC and laptop. Gwenview is great but this little thing is really annoying. Let me resize the window then remember the settings.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. OPen Gwenview
2.Select photo folder (any)
3. Select Advanced Slideshow plugin.
4. The A S settings window opens below the bottom of the screen. UGH
Actual Results:
Every time I try to run the advanced slideshow the settings window opens below the bottom of the screen and won't allow me to move or resize it.

Expected Results:
Open a window that allows the user to access all the required buttons in order for the deature to be run. D'uh In other words, make the window smaller or allow for the Unity title bar which is what I think is pushing it too low. Also, enable the window (slideshow settings) to be resized!!!

Every time I get an updated version I expect this to have been fixed but nada so maybe it's just my two systems or no one else cares but it sucks.

The verions listed in the drop down above are outdated. I have 4.3.3.0 installed. Just re-installed plugins and libraries, no change. There's a previous bug listed for the same problem but it was ages ago, 2.4 or something. I noticed also that selecting the radio button options when right clicking on the settings title bar "keep on visible workspace" etc have no effect either.

Seriously?!?! You take no action on this bug for freakin years and in
the last week I get two emails (same bug) about how it's now someone
else's problem?
Useless.
