Description AD 2014-02-10 18:56:26 UTC
While using the 'table selection' tool in Okular, i'm unable to use the feature twice, while staying on the program. Once i've copied a table the selection doesn't work until i restart okular. Text selection is working just fine.

Specifications:

-LinuxMint 15 (Olivia) KDE 4.10.5
-Okular 0.16.5

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open PDF with a table to select
2. Select table
3. Try selecting once again
Actual Results:
The 'rectangle' for table selection doesn't appear anymore. I have to restart Okular each time i make table selection.

Expected Results:
Rectangle should have appeared on second time.

I cannot reproduce such behavior in Okular 0.18.60/Poppler 0.25.1 with papers from Elsevier and Springer journals and self-made PDFs from my LibreOffice documents.

Can you attach an example to test?

To further investigate this issue, KDE developers need the information requested in comment #1. If you can provide it, or need help with finding that information, please add a comment.

Perhaps AD does not realize you have to press Esc in order to make another selection with the table tool. It differs from the other selection tools and is a bit unintuitive because of this. Taken literally, the steps to reproduce do behave as described.

Understanding you correctly, the documentation about the table selection tool should be improved? Could you propose a sentence or paragraph that needs to be added?

Honestly i don't think adding anything to the manual would help, we are already telling people to press Esc to clean on the tip te tool shows when selected
