Hi, it's not possible right now to assign a 1px thickness to an artistic text.

How to reproduce ? :
=================
- Create a new document, with the text tool create a new artistic text
- Select the shape with the 'Shape handler' tool , Go to the 'tool options' docker
- Thickness parameter is already filled to '1px' but thickness will start only if you attribute a color to it. So, give it a color.

Result :
======
Even if the entry is set on 1px ; the outline appears with a width of around 15px ; setting to 2px multiply this amount by two. It's too large and don't offer control. ( watch screen-shot in attachment ).

Expected :
=========
Make 1px does a 1px Thickness.
Note : A simple square traced on the same vector layer doesn't have this issue.

Héhé actually there is one workaround to get proper size values with artistic-text: that is to create the shape from the "add shape" docker, then it's created at "original size".. then use font size to scale it up instead of using shape's handles, and so remember any scaling from those handles will apply on outline size too.

Even karbon cannot save shadows, it seems.

Hi Justin,
I reported these bugs at the time when Krita and Calligra were still sharing the dependencies for the text-tool and it was a bug I experienced while entering text in Krita. It was in the Qt4/KDE4 days. I can't test it anymore and after 7 years of silence, I think it safe to switch the thread to "Resolved Unmaintained". Thank you for the triage!
