I launched Kate, clicked Help->About Kate. The "About Kate" dialog pops up. I then click the close button in the dialog and Kate crashes. I am using Kate version is 3.8.5 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I installed Kate via Ubuntu repo. I am using KDE platform 4.8.5. I don't know if I am using Ubuntu or Kubuntu packages (how would I determine that?). I assume I am using Ubuntu packages, because I installed the kate-dbg package and the crash report still said the backtrace contained no usefui info. Perhaps the kate-dbg package is not working? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. launched Kate,. 2. clicked Help->About Kate 3. The "About Kate" dialog pops up. Click the close button in the dialog and Kate crashes. Actual Results: Kate crashes and the KDE Crash Handler dialog appears with the following details: Executable: kate PID: 27484 Signal: Segmentation fault (11) Expected Results: Kate should not crash Any text entered between last save and Help->About Kate & and clicking close button is lost. BTW, it also happens when clicking the "x" in the upper left corner instead of the close button
