At now I can't find the way how to look information about contact with which you talking now, there are no menu items or taskbar buttons for this.
Will be good to have it, because very often user wants to copy contact address or look other contact info.
And will be good to have access to "Copy contact address" and  "User info" function via right click on contact name in chat log.

We have a patch for this on RB; but it has a new string so won't make it into 0.8 sorry.

RW is rewiew board, as I understand, board for checking and moderation new patches. If it will not submitted in 0.8 version, let's good to see it in next versions, because this feature is very useful.
