It would be nice, if the ownCloud News App API could be used to subscribe these news with akregator. I could use OcNews on my N9 while I'm on the road, ownCloud whenever I have access to a computer and Akregator when I'm at home. Reproducible: Always
There is a public API for owncloud News App. See https://github.com/owncloud/news/wiki/API-1.2

ping, have nextCloud* News support would be nice! * or formely ownCloud - same API
I've tested rssguard which provides this functionality. I'm wondering if it would be possible to re-use its code in Akregator, as i generally would prefer using akregator for this. I've found the code in https://github.com/martinrotter/rssguard/tree/master/src/services/owncloud Any akregator/c++/qt developer here who could estimate how much effort it would be to re-use the code in akregator? I think i would be willing to try and implement it if it is not extremely time-consuming... I'm not an expert in C++ and Qt but i know it somewhat and would like to get better at it. I'm used to C and java.

I'm used to C and java. I've begun gaining more interest on working on low hanging fruit in KDE. This looks like it could be up my alley. I'll report back with progress when I do!

Yes. I forgot I had an OwnCloud server. This says something. Haha, I use mine every day but having something to sync the reader with would be nice. Could be the launch of a refresh of this application. Maybe a KDE GSoC project?
Any update about this feature? So I use Nextcloud News since longer time with my Android Smartphone and on my desktop with the Web. But I miss the comfort from Akregator to manage it (e.g. as Module)

It's always weird when a bug is closed as duplicate of a more recent one, specially when there was more comments on the former, just saying.
