Description kamp 2014-01-20 09:00:30 UTC
It would be a helpful feature if it is possible to search multiple pdf
documents for a special string.

Now I can only search the current document, but if it is possible to
search multiple documents from (for example) one folder.

I know that there exist pdfgrep, but it would be nice to have it in a
gui, where I can switch to that position immediately.

Thanks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.-
2.-
3.-

Regardless to the internal Okular implementation, Nepomuk-webminer can index the paper collection, then usual Nepomuk search capabilities (in Dolphin or KRunner) can be used to find the needed document.

Some docs on Webminer:

Okular is not designed to be a "document database" or anything like that, it's a document viewer, so it searchs on the documents, adding such a feature doesn't make much sense from the current UI and workflow point of view.

Thanks for caring about Okular and suggesting this improvement.
