When I try to save my drawing after using the paint bucket tool to fill in the character's face, the program completely crashes and upon loading the document is as it was before attempting to save. Crashes also sometimes happen if I try to reorder layers. I've uploaded the file to my website if you want to use it to test. Let me know if you think downgrading to a previous version might help, I didn't even realize I got the beta when I installed the program. I do really love the way Krita works though! It feels very organic and intuitive. Hope this helps you fix the issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use the paint bucket to fill in the character's face on the 'main color' layer 2. Attempt to save 3. Observe crash. Actual Results: Program instantly crashes and closes Expected Results: Saved and allowed me to continue working.
Hi! Which version are you using? The crashes with the fill tool should be completely gone with the latest version, which is http://heap.kogmbh.net/downloads/krita_x86_2.7.9.5.msi http://heap.kogmbh.net/downloads/krita_x64_2.7.9.5.msi I spent most of last week fixing the memory issues we had, especially for the x86 build.
I was using 2.7.9.3. I guess I should actually be using the 64 bit version, didn't even think about it. Thanks, I'll try using Krita gain soon with the new (64 bit) version. I already finished the drawing in question in Photoshop now since I wasn't able to with Krita :p http://dogboydog.com/drawings/?id=8
Yes, if you have a 64 bits windows you really should use the 64 bits version of Krita. The 32 bits version is limited to 2GB of ram usage per process, and it's really easy to go over that -- and then the swapping will start.
