Description mostheinl 2014-01-18 17:19:22 UTC
The blue dropdown menubar in Facebook is not working. Clicking on friends requests, messages or notifications doesn't do anything, the settings-dropdown-menu goes directly into the settings instead of showing the dropdown menu.
Changing browser identifications shows no difference.

Noticed that not every facebook user has the new menubar yet. It is the one where the icons are on now the right side of the search bar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to www.facebook.com
2. login
3. try to access the dropdown menus in the blue menu bar
Actual Results:
No action

Expected Results:
Drop down menus appear

Using the webkit engine

Dropdown menus work with KTHML engine

Facebook menu problem

Shows my problem with the new facebook menu bar with rekonq.

Tried it with KDE SC 4.10, 4.11 and 4.13 beta 3, opensuse 12.3 and 13.1 and it was always the same problem.
Which distribution/version do you use?
Which facebook-menubar do you have?

I attached a small gif animation to show the effect (kdelibs 4.11.5-480.3).

I use ArchLinux with the latest version (what will be 4.13). The version information should not matter however since there has been no changes since 4.11 release.

Same one you have. See the attached screenshot.

Thank you for the answer.

Now I tested:
Opensuse 13.1 KDE Live DVD: Facebook menu bar doesn't work in Konqueror (rekonq is not installed by default)
Kubuntu 13.10 KDE Live DVD: Facebook menu bar works in Rekonq (Konqueror is not installed by default)

Can this problem be Opensuse-specific? Do you know perhaps where to address it in this case?

That is entirely possible, especially since you were able to reproduce it in one version but not another.
