Description Geoffrey Morrison 2014-01-17 22:35:05 UTC
I ran clamav and deleted some Google cache PUA temp files and lastpass.js. Now, the solver doesn't appear. This is true both in Python and GUI versions. (I have the solver checked. I tried un-checking and re-checking it--no dice.)

I've tried complete removal of kpat and then re-install. For some reason, though, the last game pops up (even as it was--in progress), nonetheless. Deleting any saved games and redoing the removal and re-install makes no difference. The solver still is missing.

Really, I prefer to reformat and upgrade LXDE (when possible). That then should solve the problem. (I'd prefer to leave the home directory alone, though.) I don't know why complete removal of the program doesn't remove all associated directories and files--thus, resetting performance to default behavior: Traces of the program remain, nonetheless. (This reminds me of the old ill-conceived Windows concept of sharing "common" and "lib" files in order to save a few KB of space. Needless to say, that concept is problematic.)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start
2. Proceed in playing
3. Plays normally, otherwise.
Actual Results:
Solver missing

Expected Results:
Works without solver. Both in GUI and terminal modes.

Solver should appear and function. Severity: A nice feature is broken.
