Description Unknown 2014-01-15 12:36:45 UTC
Extraction of 7z archives via the context menu entries "Extract archive here" and "Extract archive, autodetect subfolder" in Dolphin doesn't work. The bouncing Ark icon appears next to the mouse for a short time and two processes can be seen in task manager: ark and 7zr, the latter being in zombie state. However, no files appear.

Extraction from Ark itself works (open the archive first, then extract), and the 7zr command line utility works as well.

Tested mostly with the ReactOS packages from: http://reactos.org/getbuilds

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a 7z archive.
2. Try to extract it using the Dolphin context menu entries
3.
Actual Results:
Nothing... except processes appear.

Expected Results:
Extract the archive.

Platform is Arch Linux 64bit, KDE desktop, using Dolphin as file manager.

Hi,

There were some reports similar to this one in bug 328120, but after a while nobody was able to reproduce it. I've just downloaded livecd-61759-dbg.7z from ReactOS' website and extracted it just fine with Dolphin (ArchLinux packages, KDE 4.12.1). Can you confirm that it still happens on your system?

If you can provide the information requested in comment #1, please add it.

Looks like the problem doesn't occur anymore. Both ZIPs and 7Zs seem to work fine.

OK, I'm closing this bug then.
