Description Kevin Coonan 2014-01-07 23:08:28 UTC
Senseless "System policies prevent you from getting the brightness level" dialog
Status (marked as "RESOLVED DOWNSTREAM" in another bug report for OS 11). This happens whenever I need to restart plasma-desktop (which keeps locking up, so I need to kill it and restart, when it isn't being crashed by Chromium).
This is on a desktop workstation where no adjustment of brightness is needed (I have it turn off my monitors when not in use). Clicking on cancel, or entering root password has no effect, except that "cancel" results in it popping up again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. killall plasma-desktop && plasma-desktop
Actual Results:
get a dialog telling me that "An application is attempting to perform an action that requires privileges."

Expected Results:
No such pop up
