Description Peter Mason 2013-12-31 16:39:50 UTC
KDE Audio and video setting shows no device under Hardware or configuration settings
The PCI card appears in Kinfo as:-
02:0A:0 Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24/30 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator]

with a lot of information including interrupt disabled

The audio interface shows an ALSA timer and ALSA interface (Sound card Internal sound)

The installed system is Solydk

peter@peter-linux01 ~ $ inxi -Ax
Audio: Card: Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24/30 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator] bus-ID: 02:0a.0
Sound: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture ver: k3.11-2-686-pae
The mixer only has a dummy output

The same card running under Ubuntu finds the card and makes sounds.

Who's bug is this? I seems to me to be yours because the PCI card does not appear in the device list.
Hope you can help and if I can be of further help let me know.

Regards Peter Mason

Peter, do you have a custom alsa configuration? This might be a duplicate of bug 182847.

Thank you for the response.
I am using solydx and I can believe could be correct and it has a custom
asla configuration. However I am currently sitting in an old lock on a boat
in Lyon heading south and do not expect to see the Linux computer for some
months. I will take a look at your proposal when I can.
I will let you know the result if I ever mange to find this email again
thank you.
