Description 1chuteurun 2013-12-27 02:45:57 UTC
used hdmi cable to play a video through the tv. when finished, no matter how we tweak display settings, laptop screen will backlight, but nothing will display unless plugged into tv.

KDE
Platform Version 4.11.2

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. turn on laptop
2. black screen with blacklight? plug into hdmi cable.
3. login screen displays. login, attempt to use display settings to set laptop monitor as main display.
4. make changes, apply them, unplug hdmi cable, screen goes black again.
5. after plugging hdmi cable back in and laptop display coming back up, laptop display is no longer the primary display.

Expected Results:
expect laptop display to remain primary display, expect screen to display.

Thanks for reporting your bug.

Since reporting Krandr has since been replaced by KScreen. It is available in the Plasma 4 series, and is default in Plasma 5 onwards.

I hope this solves your issue. If you still have a problem after upgrading please reopen a new bug under kscreen.

Thanks
