Description Matthias Mailänder 2013-12-21 14:17:46 UTC
First of all you need a patch for the current libgammu from http://ftp.frugalware.org/pub/frugalware/frugalware-current/source/kde-extra/kmobiletools/gammu-1.2.90-x.x.x.patch

I Can't get the linker to work. Tried export LDFLAGS="$LDFLAGS -lkdeui" in all sorts of variations.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
 Linking CXX executable enginexptest
/usr/lib/gcc/i586-suse-linux/4.8/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld: CMakeFiles/enginexptest.dir/enginexp.o: undefined reference to symbol '_ZN12KApplicationC1Eb'
/usr/lib/gcc/i586-suse-linux/4.8/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld: note: '_ZN12KApplicationC1Eb' is defined in DSO /usr/lib/libkdeui.so.5 so try adding it to the linker command line
/usr/lib/libkdeui.so.5: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [kmobiletools/tests/enginexptest] Error 1
make[1]: *** [kmobiletools/tests/CMakeFiles/enginexptest.dir/all] Error 2

rm -rf kmobiletools/tests/* "fixed" it. Looks like the KMOBILETOOLS_ENABLE_TESTS is ignored in https://gitorious.org/kmobiletools/kmobiletools/source/3f8ff7fd55794b1cfa17819a622db2a2d7547441:kmobiletools/CMakeLists.txt

Hi Matthias,

Sorry for my late response, I have been quite busy over the last weeks.
Unfortunately, I am not actively developing anymore and kmobiletools has
been put aside a long while ago. If you feel like you would be willing to
make something with (or out of) it, I can transfer the gitorious project
ownership to you. Just let me know.

Best wishes,
Quentin

I just noticed that when my https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/211941 was declined. However I have no new ideas on how to get the project going. Looks like I am the only guy on the planet left without a smartphone.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been
unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug.
