Description Marco Martin 2013-12-20 11:04:53 UTC
on ARM devices (seems pretty architecture specific) when starting a new game, kpat gets frozen and takes 100% of the cpu.
the screen that lets you chose the type of game works (like klondike) then chosing any type of game freezes it before the card deck could appear

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
just start a new game

What do you expect me to do with that bug?
Comment 2 Marco Martin 2013-12-20 12:07:16 UTC
Maybe not easy to reproduce from everybody since not a KDE build on ARM cpus is not that common, but on those devices the problem is definitely easily reproduceable, so the problem is there.
Comment 3 Marco Martin 2013-12-20 12:49:10 UTC
one thing i forgot to specify, i can reproduce the problem with packages produced from the kpat tarball shipped with 4.11.4
Comment 4 Stephan Kulow 2013-12-20 13:29:44 UTC
It can be a bug in the toolchain, in any of the underlying libraries, even in your hardware. So unless you plan to debug it where it happens, there is little point in tracking it in bugzilla.
Comment 5 Marco Martin 2013-12-20 13:42:11 UTC
I would prefer it stays there, as i seen it happening on different hardwares.
And yes, i may definitely give a try in tracking it.
since i'm not familiar with kpat, where i should search in the codebase for the moment the user clicks on a game type and the game gets loaded?
Comment 6 Marco Martin 2013-12-20 13:53:42 UTC
slight narrowing down: the problem doesn't occur if the "autodrop" option is disabled

I assume nowdays more people use ARM systems to play kpat all day
