I have /dev/sda1 through 12. sda10 is mounted as /home I mount /dev/sda6, 7, 8 and 12 in ~/music, photos, p2p and backup1 respectively. I want filelight to show these as separate circles, so that when KDE4 tells me I'm running low on disk space in home, and can I open filelight, click on /home and delete junk, instead of not seeing anything on that partition because those other partitions mounted there are so much bigger than sda10. Reproducible: Always
have you turned on "Scan across filesystem boundaries?"
Negative. http://i.imgur.com/IC0fxKC.png http://i.imgur.com/HgmczJG.jpg FileLight main screen shows p2p as 49.1GB 72% full, /home screen shows tooltip p2p "32.8GiB" (used? total? free? what?) and "2%" (what?), du -hs p2p shows 33GB, df -h p2p shows "Size 50G Used 33G Avail 14G Use% 71%" and System Monitor shows p2p 13.7GiB ~3/4% full...? FileLight shows music as 24.3GiB (full? free? used? what?) and 5% (what?), du -hs shows 25GB, df -h music shows "Size 99G Used 25G Avail 69G Use% 27%" and System Monitor shows 68.9GiB~1/3 full. Thanks for the update.
I also see filelight totally ignoring the setting in "Scan across filesystem boundaries" here. It will also reach across my automounted (on /net) NFS partitions. Very irritating.. Running version: 1.20 on KDE 4.12.3
Still valid in 4.14.0/1.20.
Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
Not reproducible for me with Filelight 18.08.2. The "Scan across filesystem boundaries" correctly skips symbolic links to other filesystems, at least on my BTRFS home directory. But maybe the problem is filesystem-specific; the bug submitter should also test a recent version of Filelight with his or her setup.
