For example, if I'm on page 2, and I click on page 5, it jumps so that the bottom half of page 4, and the top half of page 5 will be visible. Is this a bug or a feature? KDE 4.10.5 in Debian unstable. Reproducible: Always
Does not sound like a feature to me
Hmmm, now that i check we've been doing this for ages, maybe it is actually a feature so you can see both of the pages? I'm not sure anymore :-S
Comments from anyone else reading this bug?
I consider it a bug.
I say bug, too! This is not only about displaying half of the page (which doesn't make sense anyway - IMHO), but also about that the view doesn't follow your mouse click at all. For instance: Depending on your zoom level / page layout, it is possible that you click in the lower half of a thumbnail, but the placed view doesn't show you this area at all - which is very confusing. I think the the placed view, must follow the mouse click as close as possible. This is also what users are known to (expect) from other apps.
PS: Just found this dup: Bug 162219 - RFE: adjust view to the position where you clicked into the thumbnail
(In reply to comment #6) > PS: > Just found this dup: > Bug 162219 - RFE: adjust view to the position where you clicked into the > thumbnail I think they are slightly different: if this one is implemented, then the other one could still be not implemented. I.e., clicking on a page => moves to the beginning of that page would be enough to close this one. On the other way around, closing the other one would fix this as well. But if we consider this as "jump to the part of the page which is clicked on the thumbnail", as the last comments seems to imply (not just to the beginning of the page), then this one is a duplicate of the other one. I'm going to merge then and continue on the older one, if you disagree please comment :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 162219 ***
(In reply to comment #7) > I'm going to merge then and continue on the older one, ... Yes, please do. :-)
