Description Matthew 2013-12-11 12:58:34 UTC
Application: apper (0.8.1)
KDE Platform Version: 4.11.3
Qt Version: 4.8.5
Operating System: Linux 3.11.10-200.fc19.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Fedora RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed: I had been trying to fix KDE by removing KDE desktop components while loged into Gnome, however the "Software" utility in Gnome wasn't allowing me to uninstall anything, it just put my selected packages into a pending queue with no options to do anything else. Closing "Software" utility then just throws away pending changes.
I then looked for Apper and was going to try using it, but it just opened and almost imediately crashed and closed, generating a bug report.

Note I am using Fedora 19 which was originally upgraded from 18 using Fedum, but it appears likely Fedup failed to pull all the correct packaged down. I've had intermittent issies ever since upgrading to 19.

- Unusual behavior I noticed: KDE intermittently failed to bring up the authentication dialoge when trying to make system changes, installing software, or just mounting drives.
I wanted to reinstall KDE from fresh but so far the software tools to do it under Gnome are failing.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.
