Description Rick J 2013-11-29 14:23:56 UTC
Android notifications generally appear OK in KDE, but I get odd ones that continue to appear in KDE even when they have gone from Android. They have a black 'X', but clicking this does nothing.

I also get one at the top that just says "Notifications", also with a black 'X', that won't go away. I think it's only there when there is at least one other actual notification. The behaviour is a bit sporadic, but clearly not quite right.

Version 0.4.1 in KDE, 0.4.2 in Android, AOS 4.4 KitKat, Nexus 4

Reproducible: Sometimes

I can provide more information about this bug that is reproducible.

I'm having the same problem. I use kdeconnect at both my work and home desktop systems. When I'm at work, I will receive notifications on my machine fine. But when I leave work and my phone disconnects from the wifi subnet, the notifications stay on that machine. The next morning, when I return to work, if I cleared my notifications on my phone, the old notifications that were known by my work desktop are still in the kdeconnect application. I will see new or current notifications correctly but with the addition of old notifications that are not actually on my phone (but were there the last time I left work).

The exact same thing also happens in reverse on my home computer.

So the bottom line is that if the notifications are not cleared from kdeconnect-kde manually before you leave the computer (leave wifi network), they will be stuck there until another notification of the same type arrives. If another notification of the same type (ex: Gmail or SMS, etc) appears, it will replace the old one and then allows it to be cleared.

I never reboot or shutdown either my work or home computers. Logging out and back into kde clears the problem but thats not efficient for me. Hope this helps to fix the problem.

I noticed the same issue.

@Chazz
Clearing the notifications manually works for me.

I'm still having the problem. The notifications that appear on my desktop that are no longer on my phone are not clearable. When I click the close button, either next to the notification, or the one at the top that should clear them all, it is unresponsive.

When clicking the button that should clear all notifications, it will only clear the ones that actually exist on my phone. The other ones are just stuck there.

Why can't the application be changed to clear them from the desktop, regardless of if they are on the phone or not? This should include if they are chosen to be cleared when then phone is not connected to the desktop.

This bug was fixed. Please test in 0.7.2 version.
