please help:

konquerer always keeps on showing ICON view, not detailed list view. When  I change to detailed list_view, and open a new directory or sub-directory, i always get ICON view!!!!

What to do?

Expected Results:  
setting "detail list-view" MUST deliver "detail list-view".

NOTHING else!!!

6this major issue makes me thinking  about leaving KUBUNTU for it is not operable

Cannot reproduce, the current view mode is kept when switching directories. Does it happen on a freshly created user account? If not, could you please check which settings file causes the issue? Please also check the view mode options you might have used in configuration dialogs, e.g. the "Remember view properties for each folder".
