Baskets has always worked fine for me. BUT yesterday I upgraded my system to Kubuntu 13.10 from Kubuntu 12.xx and now Baskets will not accept my password to unlock my important data. I am absolutely sure I am using the correct password...no doubt. It stopped working immediately after the upgrade. Is there a way to fix this so that I can see may data again? Thanks Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use Baskets under Kubuntu 12.xxx.... establish passwords on some records 2. Upgrade to Kubuntu 13.10 (a two step process using the built in upgrade procedure) 3. Passwords no longer work.... records are locked. Unprotected records still work fine. 4. Restoring from backup does not fix the problem. Actual Results: Passwords no longer work. Expected Results: It would be nice if they did.
What is "baskets"? How is it related to kwalletmanager?
It seems that this bug should be filed to baskets project. Baskets developers may file a bug report here if the issue is related to kwallet, but I doubt it, as it's API did not change lately.
I had the same problem mit Basket Version 2.0~beta2-0ubuntu3. When I downgraded to Version 2.0~beta2-0ubuntu2 my Basket worked finde again and I could open my password protected entries
It seems something is wrong with the Ubuntu package. I have built Basket from source (using cmake, not tried the installer script) and encryption works now.
