When I post to a newsgroup, I get an error "The posting of this article to the server failer. Please check that you are not trying to post to a read-only group" 

The server actually gives me a much better error message:
- Posting in UTF-8 impossible
- Posting in HTML impossible

This message should be given to the end-user instead of the generic confusing message.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
