Description Eugene 2013-11-09 20:59:29 UTC
Somtimes, after general fetching new mail process, Kmail2 shows me, that has several unread messages (in left part of kmail windows in inbox folder), but in messages lists they absent :(.
If I restart akonadi process, then unread messages emerge in messages list.
This problem exist for me ~ 6 months

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check new emails
2. Inbox folder has several unread messages
3. But in message list they absent
4. After restart akonadi, unread messages emerge in messages list
Actual Results:
Sometimes messages list doesn't contain unread (new) messages after check emails

Expected Results:
messages list MUST ALWAYS contains unread (new) messages after check emails, if they exists

And if I restart Kmail2, then unread messages emerge in messages list too.

I experience behavior like this also, although in my case it will display all messages except the most recent ones. Restarting kmail or akonadi also resolves it for me.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
