In the location bar the trash is called "Mülleimer" in the German localization. However, when opening the context menu there is an entry "Papierkorb leeren" (empty trash). It should be called "Mülleimer leeren" instead since the term "Mülleimer" is also used in other places (such as the widget) Reproducible: Always
i noticed that the kcm module is also calles "Papierkorb". Therefore this inconsistent naming is not limited to dolphin alone. It should be harmonized over all placed of the kde sc.

Thanks Burkhard. I understand that this is a duplicate of bug 319282 then? I've just attached a patch to that report, and I'd appreciate any testing (requires to clean the bookmarks.xml file once, unfortunately).
Yes a duplicate of bug 319282. With the patch from 319282 AND a bookmarks.xml with untranslated system items i. e. in locale en_US I can change the translation of these items and the new translations appear in the Places panel.
