My KDE system is configured for Spanin (language, numbers, keyboard layout, ...). However, when I remotely connect to KDE using krfb, I get a US keyboard layout. My current configuration of krfb is "Allow remote connections to control your desktop" and "Allow uninvited connections". This problem is related to univited connections, I haven't checked invited connections. I have used several vnc clients (krdc and vnc4viewer) and I got the same behaviour. Regards, Reproducible: Always Package: krfb Version: 4:4.10.5-3 -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.10-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages krfb depends on: ii kde-runtime 4:4.10.5-1 ii libc6 2.17-93 ii libjpeg8 8d-1 ii libkdecore5 4:4.10.5-1+b1 ii libkdeui5 4:4.10.5-1+b1 ii libkdnssd4 4:4.10.5-1+b1 ii libqt4-dbus 4:4.8.5+git121-g2a9ea11+dfsg1-2 ii libqt4-network 4:4.8.5+git121-g2a9ea11+dfsg1-2 ii libqtcore4 4:4.8.5+git121-g2a9ea11+dfsg1-2 ii libqtgui4 4:4.8.5+git121-g2a9ea11+dfsg1-2 ii libstdc++6 4.8.2-1 ii libtelepathy-qt4-2 0.9.3-1+b1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.2-1 ii libxdamage1 1:1.1.4-1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.2-1 ii libxtst6 2:1.2.2-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-1 krfb recommends no packages. Similar problem: krfb version 4.11.2 (Kubuntu 13.10) changes the status of my CapsLock indicator - more precisely, now CapsLock needs to be "On" to get lower case letters, and "Off" to get upper case letters.

How do you start krfb? If I start it automatically during the X11 session start, then the keyboard is wrong. If I start it manually from a terminal after the X11 session start, then the keyboard is (almost) OK.
