I use Fedora 17 KDE spin, when i open a pdf that contains highlight texts, Okular show those texts colourless, i have install evince but it has the same problem but Adobe Acrobat reader 9 and foxitreader did not have this problem.
I guess i do not have a specific library!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a pdf that contain highlight text using Okular
2.

Actual Results:  
highlighted text show colourless

Expected Results:  
highlighted text show black with yellow background

I saw this bug in:
Fedora 17 - 32 bit KDE spin
KDE 4.10.5
Okular Version 0.16.5

Looks much better to me in Okular: 0.17.2 with poppler 0.24.1 Please reopen if you update to those versions and it still looks like the image you attached.

I can not do it because Fedora 17 is out of support and Okular: 0.17.2 is not in Fedora 17 rpository.

You can easily build and install Poppler and Okular from source or use Fedora 17 specs to build your own packages on OBS (https://build.opensuse.org/).

Perfectly works here on similar system (Mageia 3, KDE 4.10.5, poppler and Okular built from sources).

I did not have this problem when i installed Fedora 17 GNOME edition and then installed KDE desktop environment !!!
