Navigating to a folder that is deep down in the directory hierarchy will make the folder tree broader, such that it cannot be displayed in the Folders panel entirely. A horizontal scroll bar appears. In such cases, the panel should auto-scroll horizontally to display the full name of the currently selected folder Example: The directory tree "/home/me/quiteLongFoldername/anEvenLongerFolderName/folder1/folder2/folder3/folder4/folder5/folder6/" is broader than my Folders panel. When navigating e.g. to "folder6", the Folders panel should automatically scroll horizontally to ensure that the folder's name ("folder6") is visible (and not cut off). For deep hierarchies, manual scrolling is therefore required before the panel can be used for navigation. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Navigate to a folder deep down in the hierarchy 2. The folder tree becomes too broad to be displayed in the Folder panel and display a horizontal scroll bar. Actual Results: The current folder's name is cut off or not visible at all. Expected Results: The Folders panel should automaticall scroll to the right-hand side to display the current folder's name.
Thanks for the suggestion. I agree that this makes sense.
In my opinion, this is an absolute must. My folder hierarchy is rarely very deep, and still I see myself scrolling manually all the time. It's probably a lot worse in screens with low horizontal resolution, where you can't "afford" a wide panel. The fact that the tree can look like the screenshot I have attached, just by navigating 5 levels below your home folder, makes the Folder Panel look kind of dumb. Which is regrettable, because it's otherwise incredibly useful and a great piece of software!
