I don't use kmail and would like to purge it on my netbook since I want as much free space as possible. However I use akregator and korganizer and don't want to remove them along with kmail but they depend on it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try removing kmail package on Kubuntu: sudo apt-get purge kmail Actual Results: It removes akregator* kaddressbook* kdepim-kresources* kmail* knotes* kontact* korganizer* libeventviews4* libincidenceeditorsng4* libkdepim4* libksieveui4* libmailcommon4* libmailimporter4* libmessagecomposer4* libmessageviewer4* libpimcommon4* libtemplateparser4* along with kmail. Expected Results: kmail deleted and akregator/korganizer untouched
I'm sure you can use akregator without kmail . Please report this downstream packaging issue to (k)ubuntu developers.
