Once the muon updater is started it only shows when there was last checked for updates. Under the 'more' button - 'check for updates', once pressed, nothing happens.(it seems as if there is a progress bar working at the bottom of the muon-updater screen, but this is rather vaguely and it only appears 2 or 3 times in a split of a second) .  

Half the time the close button does not work. 

To get updates, i have to run sudo apt-get update/install in the konsole to keep my computer up-to-date. When i just installed the dist-upgrade from Kubuntu 13.04 to 13.10, the muon updater crashed on start, it did this also with a complete new re-install of 13.10.

Reproducible: Always
