Description Stephan Olbrich 2013-10-16 08:29:20 UTC
When composing an email and the cursor reaches the lower end of the visible part and you press only the RETURN-key the text is not scrolled and the cursor is not visible anymore.
Pressing any other character and the text is automaticly scrolled so that the cursor is visible again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Compose new mail
2. Write some text or press RETURN until the cursor reaches the lower end of the textfield
3. Keep pressing RETURN --> cursor not visible anymore
4. Press any other character --> text is scrolled and cursor is visible again

Expected Results:
text should always be scrolled to keep cursor visible.

Forgot to mention:
KMail Version is 4.11.2
Comment 2 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 18:17:11 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
